The advanced course is for the more experienced powerboater. This two-day course involves a night passage and tests the skills needed to operate a powerboat in more testing conditions. This qualification is used by professional organisations such as the RNLI, Coastguard, Military and the Police as their standard for driving fast planning boats
A good level of boating & Navigation experience, communication and team leadership is required for you to be successful in this course.

• Lee Shore Maneuvering

• Use of GPS in high-speed navigation and pilotage by Night
Pre Requisites:
Navigation to the level of Day Skipper Theory
VHF Radio (Inc DSC)
First Aid Certificate
Strongly recommended that you hold an Intermediate Powerboat Certificate
Duration: 2 days (Timings Depending on time of Year)
Minimum age: 17
Equipment Needed: Wellingtons/Old Trainers, Hat & Gloves, Waterproofs, head torch. We provide life jackets and can provide lightweight waterproofs if required.
